全球第一個生殖器移植的成功案例，又跨越了一個里程碑，他讓女友懷孕了。
那位21歲的南非籍病患，是因為割包皮的併發症，危及性命，不得不切除生殖器，去年底，他在開普頓一家醫院，接受生殖器移植，醫院直到開刀完三個月之後，才公開病例，當時，病患的泌尿與生殖功能，都已經恢復，不過醫院推估他需要兩年時間才能完全復原，沒想到他那麼快就讓女友懷孕了，而且女友已經懷孕四個月。
